Long Awaited Blueberries!

Last year I bought 3 Dwarf Blueberry plants for patio containers. I knew I would not have berries the first year, but had high hopes for this summer. They just seemed to have been struggling. I would see blossoms, but then berries just would not fully form. I mentally gave up hope for this season, but have kept them healthy with hopes of a bumper crop next year.
What a WONDERFUL surprise today when I went out to water and found ripe blueberries!!! The first one popped off and into my mouth before I could grab my camera. They are so tiny and cute. It’s finally getting fun trying to grow fruit on my patio!
I picked a small handful. Look how tiny they are.
I am giddy with delight, and cannot wait to add these little gems to my homemade yogurt. Ultimate local treats.

I know this was last summer, but congrats! I planted blueberry bushes last fall in hopes to get berries in 2 years. Your success makes me feel hopeful.
